Little Forest is making great strides in cuteness these days. This was a fun shoot, and what I like about these photos below is that they are all completely different. They're like little individual stories of his life, his expressions and reactions to what's going on around him. His very first Christmas tree went up the night before our shoot, so it was great fun to grab the lights and gaze up at the big tree now in the house. Big thanks to Holly and Rob for letting me be a part of documenting his first year!

Little did I know when I got a call from Rachel for some engagement photos last spring that I'd end up in Omaha for their wedding! They had two great venues, St. John's Catholic Church (stunning!), and the hip Magnolia Hotel in downtown Omaha. The best part of the day was seeing this great big family come together for their wedding. Congratulations Rachel and Jim! You're great together and we wish you all the best.

The best journeys answer questions that in the beginning you didn't even think to ask. Having a child is just like this, and being an uncle didn't even come close. I must say that I would have had no clue how to interact with kids during shoots like this until I was a dad myself!
Little Lincoln Leigh is getting big and developing quite the personality. It was a blast to photograph her around her house, in the fall leaves and hanging out on the trampoline. I think we may need to make use of the Airstream on the next shoot!
