Winter weddings are always an adventure, and I love that Jake and Kelli were into shooting outside in the snow on their wedding day. It’s a Colorado thing I guess, because just about all of our winter clients have wanted to brave the cold to have photos outside! Kelli and Jake’s wedding was quintessential Colorado mountain, with tons of awesome personal details mixed in. Their big day went perfectly, with the help of lots of great Colorado vendors who helped put things together. Jubilations Catering, Colorado Rose Cake Company, Floral Design of Europe, Top Hat Entertainment, and of course the always excellent staff at Della Terra all contributed to make the day taste, look, run and sound awesome. Congratulations Kelli and Jake!
Changes, changes. It’s so fast at this age! As I was editing these, I noticed that Von’s parents are clearly visible in his eyes. It’s sometimes a group effort to get good expressions from a new baby, and I love it when everyone gets involved. Kirstie and Todd were behind me making faces and noises, and outtakes of that I’m sure would be hilarious.
Charlotte and Niels are a cool, fun and international couple who are having their wedding in Estes Park in a few months. I first started to correspond with Charlotte when she was still living in the UK, and we got together for their shoot not long after she was settled in here in Denver. Thanks for the fun shoot, and I’m so looking forward to your Della Terra wedding!
Yvonne and Shane’s had a gorgeous wedding at their church and down at Villa Parker. We’ve gotten to know Yvonne and Shane a bit while working with them, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting their friends and family during the big day. It’s easy to see the love these two have for each other and for all their wonderful friends and family. Jessica and I are so happy for you guys! Congratulations!
Ever since moving to Colorado in 2006, Boettcher Mansion has been one of my favorite spots to photograph weddings. It’s an ideal spot for getting the feel of the mountains and some great Colorado history, and it’s just 20 minutes from downtown. Lauren and Matt had a beautiful evening wedding at the Arts and Crafts style mansion, attended by their wonderful family and friends from all over the country. They were married outside under the stars on the back patio, which was originally the front entrance of the mansion from back in 1917.
After an excellent meal prepared by Gourmet Kitchen, Lauren and Matt went for it and had some fun with their cake cutting! Check out the photos below and you’ll know what I’m talking about. The dance floor was opened up with music by Quality Mobile Sound after their first dance to I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz. Congratulations and thank you Lauren and Matt; it’s been an honor and pleasure to be your photographers!
